I am leaving in ten days to study art in Italy.  I will be a visiting artist at Santa Reparata International School of Art. After searching for several months I finally found a one bedroom apartment between Basilica Di San Lorenzo and the Piazza Del Duomo.  My apartment is near SRISA where there is a brand new printmaking and book arts studio.  How wonderful it will be to walk out the door and take in the beauty and history of Firenze.  Through this blog I will sharing my journey making art.      Ciao!

Next big adventure is to go to Japan to the Island of Shikoku.  I will live with a master papermaker and his wife up in the mountains.  We will harvest kozo, prepare it and beat and form sheets of fine paper.  I will learn the aspects of this fine art and attempt perfection.

I have applied to the Paper and Book Intensive, in Oxbow, Michigan.  Two weeks of making books and another opportunity to Japanese paper.  Should be an excellent group of artist in an inspiring setting.
