{"id":3,"date":"2008-08-21T05:40:13","date_gmt":"2008-08-21T12:40:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.saradavidringlerart.com\/?p=3"},"modified":"2023-09-01T09:19:29","modified_gmt":"2023-09-01T13:19:29","slug":"the-journey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.saradavidringlerart.com\/?p=3","title":{"rendered":"The Journey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is an image of a women, her back is turned to the viewer, she is walking towards a full moon.<\/p>\n<p>It is a Japanese print I came across in an unlikely spot, a gift shop on Cape Cod.\u00a0 It was quite beautiful, a small print, vertical with very subtle grey colors.\u00a0 It is a fitting metaphor for my journey, a woman going off towards something in the distance.<\/p>\n<p>After teaching art for 16 years I am taking a sabbatical for one year to study, make art and travel.\u00a0 I have three main areas of focus; I will explore printmaking, book arts and paper making using Eastern and Western perspectives and techniques.\u00a0\u00a0The goal of this journey is to integrate\u00a0these experiences into my\u00a0teaching and my art.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.saradavidringlerart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/journey-i-and-journey-ii.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-21\" title=\"journey-i-and-journey-ii\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.saradavidringlerart.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/09\/journey-i-and-journey-ii-300x172.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"172\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is an image of a women, her back is turned to the viewer, she is walking towards a full moon.
